SUMMER GARDEN TOUR IN DORSET INCLUDING THE 2019 AGM
Sunday 30 June - Thursday 4 July 2019
Our Annual General Meeting and UK summer garden tour will take place in Dorset, arranged by Sue Bennison. Members will stay at the Springfield Country Hotel, Wareham, where the AGM will take place on the Sunday evening. The guest speaker, Christopher Bailes, will give a lecture on the Monday evening entitled 'Living architecture - form and foliage in the Mediterranean garden'. Christopher is president of the Alpine Garden Society and a former curator of RHS Rosemoor, RHS Hyde Hall and the Chelsea Physic Garden. The topic which he has chosen for his lecture is one on which he has never spoken before. Over the three and a half days of garden tours we will see a great variety of gardens, with coach transport provided. All meals are provided as part of the tour.
The cost per person in shared accommodation is £580. There is a single supplement of £72 (total £652)
Please apply for places by 30 November using the form below. Members will receive an email during the first few days of December offering places and members can then confirm by sending their deposits of £150 per person. In previous years there have been enough places for all members wanting to attend and we hope this will be the case again in 2019. However, as many of the gardens are not suitable for more than 50 visitors, places may have to be restricted. In case the tour is oversubscribed, members will be asked to send the £150 per person deposits by 10 December so that, if anyone wishes to withdraw their request for a place, the place can be offered to another member. The balance of fees will be payable by 31 March.
