Mediterranean Plants and Gardens
Mediterranean Plants and Gardens is a not-for-profit association for people with particular interest in the plants of Mediterranean climate zones. It embraces concepts of sustainable gardening such as matching plant species intelligently to their environment and giving particular attention to economical use of water. Members enjoy varied trips botanising in Mediterranean climates and also visits to gardens, many of which are rarely open to the public. Recent trips include Tenerife, Spain (Elche and Denia) and Lazio. Trips in 2019 will include visits to the Drakensberg, Cape Town, the Peloponnese, Catalonia, the Maremma area of Italy, and a return to Frascati and Viterbo. There are regular events in the UK. Take a look at what events are coming up then come and join us.
