Scheme Information

Support for travel, study and projects

MPG has a small fund to support educational, conservation or research objectives. This can be a subsidy to take part in an MPG event, or funding for other activities with a connection to Mediterranean plants and gardens, or which open new professional or personal contacts. MPG may establish any additional criteria that it considers necessary to ensure an appropriate use of bursaries to support its objectives.

Applications are welcome from all members, particularly from horticulturists who wish to widen their knowledge and experience of Mediterranean plants and dry gardens. You can read reports written by previous bursary recipients on the website.

If you would like to be considered for a bursary, please read the conditions then complete the Bursary Application Form. Applications may be submitted at any time and applicants must be members of MPG at the time when they apply.

Applications are considered by the Bursary Committee, which consists of two or three members of the Management Committee plus six ordinary members of MPG.
