WESTERN CYPRUS TOUR

February 25 to May 4 2026

This tour is essentially a repeat of the successful tour that 20 members undertook in February 2024, and was oversubscribed. We will have two bases in western Cyprus and will focus on the spring flora, including orchids and geophytes, lovely scenery, walks and some historic sites. Spring comes early to Cyprus, and we can expect several sunny clear days. We shall visit a couple of fascinating archaeological sites in the ancient city of Paphos – both of which are rich in plants also. We shall be mostly on the coast but weather permitting we will spend one day in the mountains, giving us spectacular scenery and many interesting plants. The tour will be led by local expert Yiannis Christofides who led our successful 2024 similar event. The coach will meet an Easyjet flight to/from Gatwick, and there are options to extend your stay in this beautiful island. The cost will be in the order of £600 per person sharing and £800 for singles – all meals (apart from one “free evening”), communal drinks, transport, entrance fees, and tips included. Species list provided.
