Tuesday 12 April at 5.30 for a 6pm lecture on Zoom

Michael Myers is a horticulturist who has immersed himself in the world of plants, practical gardening and design all his life. He is currently teaching horticulture to degree level at Craven College, Skipton, North Yorkshire. His keen interest in all things green has led him adventuring on plant-hunting expeditions and he has won many RHS medals for his plant displays at national shows. He formerly held three National Collection collections – Primula marginata varieties, Hepatica and Anemone nemorosa about which he has also written books. He has appeared on television programmes such as Gardeners’ World, Great Little Gardens and Over the Garden Wall.

In this lecture we will learn about his travels to Cyprus, Corfu and Crete looking for flowering plants, including maritime species, bulbs and orchids.
